Catholic Artists and Musicians who Inspire

A sweet sister on Twitter asked for a post on Catholic musicians, and since it’s one of my favorite topics, I thought it’d be fun to share some of my favorites Catholic musicians who sing worship-ful music.

I also put together a Spotify playlist to give you a taste of five of my favorite songs by Catholic musicians, and I’ll add to the list weekly.

Now, not in ANY sort of order whatsoever, here is a compilation of some Catholic artists/musicians:

This is a link to something they have been collaborating on with other Catholic musicians too!!! They all rock. John Finch is also amazing. Shawn Williams is an awesome violinist…when he plays, I feel like crying. A physical reaction to beauty. <3

My husband and I are also Catholic Musicians who live in the Heartland in Wichita, Kansas, raising our five boys. Our two Catholic CDs mostly contain our favorite songs from Church…and then we’ve also added some of our own originals. Adam & I and Hope & Justin are both Catholic artists whose music isn’t explicitly Catholic –that is, it isn’t worship music or even “Christian” in the typical sense of rhe genre, but their faith is evident in their music. Both duos have a folksy, acoustic feel to their music. 10/10 recommend.

Thank you for sharing one of Danielle Rose’s songs. For those that do not know, she has 5 albums, one of which is a Rosary 2 disc called Mysteries that she presented to Saint JPII. I cannot put into words how much her music has led me closer to Christ. I find it a deep tragedy that her music is largely unknown even in extremely Catholic circles. Please spread the word.

Scythian – especially if you’re into World/Folk music. Much of their music isn’t explicitly “Catholic” in nature, but is derived from the ethnic/folk tradition that so many Irish/Eastern European Catholic immigrants brought with them to the U.S. The founding members of the band are siblings from a large, Catholic, homeschooling family.
Full of energy, and a ton of fun!
