Here at Blessed is She, we believe in sisterhood so firmly that it's at the very heart of the ministry. You see it in our hashtag (#bissisterhood), all over our devotions, blog posts, retreats, workshops, and gatherings. It's our sisterhood in Christ that bonds us in spiritual family!
But What is Sisterhood...Really?
But if you're like me, sometimes sisterhood an elusive concept. Great, got it! Sisterhood! Be . . . sisterly?
I harken back to sharing a room with my sister and her never wanting the closet light on and me always wanting to hog the covers. Or when we lived together in college and listened to each other's boyfriend woes over cheap pizza (kinda tasted like cardboard, but you know).
Sisterhood also has meant being polite when I was completely destroyed by a friend who flaked on helping because she didn't feel like it, saving the wrath for a text to my husband and processing with her when I was less . . . prickly. And flying out for that friend's graduation from her master's program because we did have a truly loving bond, one that could sustain ups and downs.
Our sisterhood rooted in our shared Faith means we have a chance to dip into the well that is God's fruitful love, and then share that love with one another.
Through frustrations and FOMO, discouragement and discernment. Sisterhood through it all.

To dive deeper into what sisterhood means and what it looks like, we have a special 8-part email series starting on August 15th (because Our Lady is the original ultimate sister).
You'll receive short emails, every other week, focused in on a virtue/vice combo that is elevating us or holding us back in this fruitful sisterhood we are meant to experience.
You'll find a little research on what the Church in all Her wisdom teaches us, a little anecdote, and lots of heart-to-heart vibes.
