"Surely in a little while, Lebanon shall be changed into an orchard, and the orchard considered a forest!” // Isaiah 30:17-19
During an uncomfortable season of spiritual dryness, just like a lost child, I wandered through the desert.
I desperately thirsted.
I arrived at multiple wells for nourishment. None of them would truly satisfy my thirst.
My sister, we are like the orchard changing into a forest. With His nourishment, we are able to bloom and fully flourish in our identity as His beloved daughters. Our dryness desperately thirsts for the Living Water.
When I invited Him into the desert, I was able to find beauty. Letting Him lead was intimidating, but His tender love made the dryness bearable. Even while wandering through the desert, I was still able to find beauty. I was still able to find Him.
Sister, your dryness is only temporary. I encourage you to invite Him into the desert with you. You will feel joy again. You will feel whole as His daughter again. And if you wander away, He is always there, patiently waiting for His sweet little girl to run back into His safe arms.
We are most alive when we accept the freedom that He offers us every single day. His freedom is a gift that He desires for us.
You are His gift. Will you accept His?
Dear God, as Your daughters we come to You with thirsty hearts. Please nourish us with Your love and mercy. Amen.
