Let’s be honest. These days, most of my “visits” involve my kiddos chiming in every other sentence, some coffee, or the phrase, “Sorry, give me one second!” at least twice. But The Weekly Visit? It’s different. A good different.
This sweet little corner of our Blessed Is She member community is inspired by the Visitation—the iconic moment when Mary traveled to see her cousin Elizabeth. Both women were carrying miracles. Both had a million reasons to feel overwhelmed. But they showed up for each other. They blessed each other. They made space to see one another.
Sound familiar? Yes! That’s exactly what we’re trying to do—minus the hill country trek.
What is the Weekly Visit, Really?
The Weekly Visit is a short live gathering we do inside the Blessed Is She member community. It’s thirty minutes of Scripture, reflection, prayer, and presence. That’s it. You don’t need a journal, a theology degree, or the perfect scene. Just show up. Visit with us.
Each week, Jenna, Beth, and I share something on our heart—usually something God’s been working on in real time. We have monthly themes we hope to unpack with you in each visit that you are able to take back with you in your personal prayer time, as we do the same. We open with prayer, reflect on Scripture, read your comments with your perspective, and remind each other that God is so near.
And then? We go back to the rest of our lives a little more rooted, a little more seen, a little more filled. Until next time.
Mary + Elizabeth = The Blueprint
So why call it “The Weekly Visit”?
Because Mary and Elizabeth are our blueprint. Blessed is She’s namesake is taken from this very encounter (see Luke 1:45). Their story in the Gospel of Luke is truly inspiring: one young woman full of faith (and, oh yeah, carrying the Son of God), and another woman full of wisdom and wonder, greeting her with an outpouring of blessing.
No judgment. No comparing. Just two women showing up with Christ at the center.
That’s what we want each week to feel like. Whether you’re running on grace and minimal prayer or deep in a sweet spiritual rhythm, you’re welcome here. We’re all just showing up with what we’ve got—and God is doing the rest.
It’s Not Just for You (But It Totally is)
The truth is, this little weekly rhythm has been such a gift to me. As a former Q&A attendee, I recall the value of these little meetings of the heart. I valued feeling understood and cared for. My prayer and understanding of Christ’s heart blossomed beautifully. Now, as someone who co-hosts during these visits, I can tell you: I come away just as filled as the woman sharing her heart in the chat.
There’s something sacred about speaking truth and hearing women respond—either in the live convo on our end or silently from the other side of the screen. It reminds me that I’m not alone in trying to follow Jesus in the chaos and beauty of everyday life.
You don’t have to be “super spiritual” or in a perfect season to join us. You just have to want to be close to Him.

Come as You are, Leave a Little More You
Here’s the thing: life is busy, messy, noisy. But God is steady. And He’s always inviting us to make a little space for Him and each other. We are made to be in community. The Church through the Catechism of the Catholic Church encourages us and beautifully reminds us of our need for community:
The human person needs to live in society. Society is not for him an extraneous addition but a requirement of his nature. Through the exchange with others, mutual service and dialogue with his brethren, man develops his potential; he thus responds to his vocation" (CCC §1879).
The Weekly Visit is one small way we say yes to that invitation. So come visit—like Mary did. Come with your full heart, or your tired heart, or your “I forgot to pray today” heart.
We’re waiting with open arms and probably a few pop culture references, sharing our daily walk with the Lord, and being encouraged by these sweet chats.
