They That Hope: The 2022 Prayer Pledge // Day 31

blessed is she prayer pledge 2022

Friends, we have come to the end of our Prayer Pledge. Each year, this seems to sneak up on me, and I'm never quite ready for it to end (which is the goal!). Whether this year's Prayer Pledge went ideally for you or if you struggled through some days and weeks, we have persevered to our final day together.

Throughout this month, we have reflected on the theological virtue of hope together. We have encountered what Sacred Scripture, the Church, and the Saints have declared about hope. We have heard stories of hope—both when hope was personal and communal. We have reflected, slowly, on the Act of Hope, a brief but beautiful declaration.

We pray that this time of prayer together has inspired you to continue to pray for an increase of hope in your heart. We pray that this Prayer Pledge stays with you in soul and mind and that you continue to reflect on your biggest takeaways and your biggest prayers.

Remember, just because the Prayer Pledge ends today does not mean that our life of prayer completes. Keep the habit of daily prayer and come to Him, once again, tomorrow, with a heart full of hope and confident expectation.

Finally, consider sharing this Living Hope with those in your life. Consider who might be in need of the message of this Prayer Pledge. Anyone can pray through it at any time. Invite someone you love to partake in the Prayer Pledge and share your heart with them: what you've learned through the Prayer Pledge, how your prayer has transformed, how you're different going forward. Sometimes our greatest witness is the witness to Hope Himself.

Thanks for being on this journey with us. Thank you for praying with us, for pouring into your prayer partner, and for inviting the Lord even deeper into your heart and life.

May we go forward in great hope!

Let Us Pray

O Lord God,
I hope by your grace for the pardon
of all my sins
and after life here to gain eternal happiness
because you have promised it
who are infinitely powerful, faithful, kind,
and merciful.
In this hope I intend to live and die.
Amen.

For Discussion

Going forward, what is your most important takeaway from the Prayer Pledge? What has the Lord revealed to you most deeply?

Discuss what intentions you can take with you into your future prayer. What's weighing most heavily on your prayer partner's heart?
