The world feels heavy right now. There is heartache and pain and suffering, and, with that, a renewed searching. There is a people searching for answers, for clarity, for truth, for hope.
People are hungry. They're hungry for hope. They're hungry to believe. They're hungry for a life worth living for. They're hungry for a love worth dying for.
They may not know it yet, but they're hungry for Jesus.
And it's our time to tell the world about Him. It's our time to reignite the missionary heart that is within each one of us by way of His Holy Spirit. It's our time to set the world on fire with the love of Jesus, the truth of His life, death, and resurrection, the power of a love that poured out to save the world from death forever.
Not all of us are called to be missionaries in foreign countries or to speak from stages (although thanks be to God for the ones who are), but all of us can bring the love of Jesus to the people right in front of us. At the grocery store. At school pickup. Around the dinner table. Online. At work. Right where we are.
Here are five ways we can feed the hungry world with the truth of Jesus:
Pray for Courage:
Begin each morning with the discipline to pray for courage. Ask the Lord to give you the virtue of fortitude, of boldness, of constantly acting in the pursuit of good.
Here are some of my fav prayer tools that help me enter into my time of prayer every morning.
Share Your Story:
Share what Jesus has done in your life, how He saved you from the depths of sin, how He awakened you out of slumber, how He has changed your life. "Tell the people everything about this life" (Acts 5:20).
Beth and I shared our testimonies awhile back if they help you to pray about yours!
Be in the Word:
Have you ever heard of someone sharing a biblical truth with another person and that pierced the recipient's heart? You can do that, too. You have access to the truth of mankind and his Creator and you can share that good Word with someone. It just might change their life.

Listen to the Holy Spirit:
Docility to the Holy Spirit can sometimes seem wild. But we were made to be blown by God wherever He wills, no matter if it makes sense to us or not. Live a life surrendered to His inspirations, His promptings, His light. A woman surrendered to Jesus can work mightily in the world, all for His glory.

Invite Someone:
I know this one is easier said than done. I get it. But I'm inviting you (and myself!) to make an invitation. Invite someone to Mass. Invite someone to the adoration chapel. Invite someone to pray with you, to read the Gospel of John together, to join you in a small group.
Do not be afraid to invite someone to "come and see." That may be the beginning of their journey of coming face to face with our Lord and Savior. And isn't that the whole point? To become a people who seek His face, day in and day out. To become women who diffuse His peace out into the world. To become children who know the faithfulness of their Father. To decrease so He may increase.
