Our Blessed Brunches have brought Catholic women together all over the globe. New Bible study groups have been formed, new friendships made, and new tribes assembled—all thanks to women's fearless "yeses." If you are interested in hosting or attending a Blessed Brunch, but are curious to see what one actually looks like in real life, we're bringing you stories from women who have been there, done that.
We will regularly share these Blessed Brunch Stories in the hopes that you will be encouraged to bring one to your own city. Whether you gather with two women or two hundred women, time spent together in fellowship is never wasted. Let's invite one another into our homes and into our hearts!
Blessed Brunch Stories: Cleveland, OH
Susan, did you host or attend this Blessed Brunch?
I attended.
Where was the Brunch held?
A home.
Tell us a bit about what happened at the Brunch.
We had great food, great prayer, and great conversation thanks to the cards BIS sent to the hostess!
What was your feeling going into the Brunch, and what was it coming out of the Brunch?
I felt nervous going in. I have no community. I’m an introvert and basically a hermit. But I came out feeling so rejuvenated and my friend said I sounded hopeful. Hopeful for holy women in my life to keep me on track and inspired.
What's next for you personally and/or for the group?
I’m so excited to see what happens, possibly another meet up is in the works!
What advice do you have for someone who is interested in attending and/or hosting a Blessed Brunch but may be hesitant or fearful?
Take it from an introvert, it is not scary. Everyone is super sweet, genuine, and amazing.
Where did you see God move?
I saw Him move when we were discussing our conversation cards. It’s amazing what happens when women get together with a little bit of food and vulnerability.
