Our Blessed Brunches have brought Catholic women together all over the globe. New Bible study groups have been formed, new friendships made, and new tribes assembled—all thanks to women's fearless "yeses." If you are interested in hosting or attending a Blessed Brunch, but are curious to see what one actually looks like in real life, we're bringing you stories from women who have been there, done that.
We will regularly share these Blessed Brunch Stories in the hopes that you will be encouraged to bring one to your own city. Whether you gather with two women or two hundred women, time spent together in fellowship is never wasted. Let's invite one another into our homes and into our hearts!
Blessed Brunch Stories: Spokane, WA
Chanely, did you host or attend this Blessed Brunch?
I hosted.
Where was the Brunch held?
A home.
Tell us a bit about what happened at the Brunch.
We prayed, made friends, and focused building relationships and community.
What was your feeling going into the Brunch, and what was it coming out of the Brunch?
We’re new to the area, so I was happy to host and meet new people. I really enjoyed my morning with the ladies.
What's next for you personally and/or for the group?
We’re connected through social media. The group is already planning for next month. Personally, I will continue to push myself out of my comfort zone and help grow the community.
What advice do you have for someone who is interested in attending and/or hosting a Blessed Brunch but may be hesitant or fearful?
Just do it! It may seem a little weird, especially if you don’t know anyone attending. But even though we may be in different season or from different backgrounds, the ladies are lovely and all come together to share and celebrate our Faith.
Where did you see God move?
We had some pretty heavy prayer intentions and it was beautiful to see how we came together for each other.
