Our unique Advent reflection devotional book explores the theme of Who Our Lord Jesus is and Who He is in our lives. The weeks weave the following attributes of Jesus into our study and reflection:
Incarnation // Messiah
Ministry // Shepherd
Cross // Healer
Evangelization // Way
“We will contemplate Our Lord and Who He is in our lives. He is moving mysteriously in our lives, and we have to make time for the silence in which to know Him more fully this Advent and every day.” // Jenna Guizar
Every week follows the same cadence:
+ A rich and dense Scripture passage to guide us through the week’s theme
+ A theological essay by our Theological Editor, Susanna Spencerr
+ Three days of Scripture reflection and questions by Beth Davis
+ Two days of narratives by either Megan Hjelmstad, Chika Anywanu, Beth Davis, or Sister Maria Kim Bui
+ Saturdays, a guided meditation to take to prayer before the Blessed Sacrament by Nell O’Leary
We are thrilled that you will join us in this life-changing examination of Jesus in our lives.
The second item is our Maranatha for Kids Journal.
Every week offers:
1) Read three Scripture selections from the Bible:
+ In the Old testament you’ll see that God had always planned to send Jesus as our Messiah.
+ In the Gospels you’ll read about Jesus’ birth and life.
+ In the New Testament you’ll learn what Jesus means to us today.
2) Journal or think and pray about the questions.
3) Color and contemplate the coming of Jesus.
4) Do a fun and prayerful activity.
5) Prayers to offer Jesus from your heart.
We are so happy that the children in your life will have this special opportunity to learn more about our Catholic faith and Our Messiah.
