As we enter the final days of this year's Prayer Pledge, let's return to where we began. Our Faith declares that God's very being is love.
Love is Who He is.
Throughout our lives, we encounter different experiences with love, or lovers, or lesser loves, or lies about love. Our understanding of the concept can be marred by broken hearts and bitter wounds. Sometimes, when we think of love, we think of hurt.
But the love offered to us by the Lord is a love untouched by the stain of sin, the faultiness of man's heart, or the shifting of the seasons. This love is everlasting, unchanging, uninhibited, selfless, and full throttle.
God loves you as His own. He loves you as if you were the only human to exist. He loves you because He knows you better than anyone else (and, may I offer, in spite of knowing you better than anyone else). His love aims only for your good.
And his love beckons to be requited.
In love, He made our hearts. In love, He made them for Himself. Our life is a long journey of returning that love, of letting go of the lesser loves in order to give our hearts more fully to their Home.
What a love story it is.
Just as God's relationships with Elizabeth, Teresa, Gemma, and Catherine looked different from one another, so too does He invite you into a personal and particular relationship with Him.
Let us, then, live in Love. Let us live for Love and with Love. For it is only in Him that our longings are satisfied.

Closing Prayer //
Jesus, Lover of our souls, give us the grace to keep our gaze fixed on You, Who ever-lovingly gaze upon us. Amen!
Reflection Questions //
How has my relationship with the Lord deepened over this month? In what ways has my prayer become more intimate?
In what ways do I long to go deeper still with Him? What areas still feel "closed off" to Love?
