Jesus, You said Your most painful, unrecorded
Wound from Your Passion was the bloody,
Painful slice of the wooden Cross
Rubbed so angrily into Your shoulder.
You bore the heavy weight of a Cross,
A Cross that You chose to carry,
A Cross that no earthly man could bear
But You did it with tender, heartfelt love.
You said this pain was unrecorded
By man. I seek to bring light to the
Tragedy of pain, encompassing
Your beloved body.
The pain was visible in Your shoulder,
Spilling blood onto the splintering wood
Of the cross. Let me make this agonizing
Wound now visible to the world;
Not to glorify myself,
But to give praise to every ounce of Your suffering.
I thank You for this Sacrifice,
So gently, selflessly, taken on for my restoration.
Here I am: I pray these humble words illustrate
What no man has done before.
Let my words console Your Heart,
And one day, let my soul rejoice with You, forevermore.
