In 2014, Jenna Guizar reached out to 20 or so women she knew in the online blogging world. She asked if they would be interested in starting an online Catholic women’s ministry due to her seeing a lack in the online space for Catholic women. Some women said yes, and BIS was born!

Blessed is She is a small business whose mission is to further Jesus Christ’s message of salvation and redemption. To do so, we believe in prayer + community. We have many, many free resources to which we’d love for you to use!

We also create products for prayer, designs for your home, and small groups. The design, creation, manufacturing, shipping, time, and staff to oversee these products costs a lot of work and money.

Blessed is She staff, devotion writers, blog writers, various retreat members, and more are also paid from our product sales, so if we did not have a price on some products or experiences, we simply would not be able to pay women for their time, effort, and energy, which would be unjust.

You are under no obligation to purchase anything from Blessed is She, and we will continue to make free resources for you to use for the growth of your prayer life.

Blessed is She is faithful to Church teaching in all matters, whether the question is what constitutes a sin or how we follow Tradition. As the founder , when I (Jenna Guizar) profess my faith (in the Nicene or Apostles’ Creed) as a Catholic woman and organization, I am professing adherence to the Church in all Her teachings. Included in that obedience is denouncing racism, acting for justice, and working to advance the Kingdom on all issues of life.

We have a curated list of different resources to understand a number of life and human dignity topics in a clearer light with resources and, most importantly, specific prayers.
