Glory be to the Father,
and to the Son,
and to the Holy Spirit,
as it was in the beginning,
is now, and ever shall be,
world without end. Amen.
Reflect
When I pray this prayer again and again during my Rosary, my mind rests. I think, “Oh, good. We got to the quick prayer before gearing up for another Our Father.” But when I really feel it as I recite it, the word glory stands out.
Glory! Glory. Something heroes seek? Something from the ancient past? Words in a Christmas hymn?
But what if the glory we are proclaiming to God is part of our life, right now, this very day. It’s a word that echoes through our prayers as Catholics. We give thanks, we give glory, in our Mass refrains. We pray it in the Rosary. We offer it in the quiet of our simple conversations with God in our car on our commute.
He is the God of Glory and Majesty. And as His creation, we have that to give to Him.
Act
Let’s specific give glory to God each and every day. It’s our gift to give. It’s our way of adoring Him. For what will you give Him glory today?
Let Us Pray
Majestic and Glorious God, thank you for letting me worship You. Forever and ever. Amen.
