We all need deeper healing through the power of Jesus, but sometimes we're not aware as to how badly we need it.
After my divorce, my heart was illuminated to the ways I needed healing: wounds and insecurities from childhood, trauma, and issues around trusting men. The neediness for my Divine Healer was made very clear. Like a thirsty puppy dog, I drank up the miracle stories of Jesus in the Gospels, convicted He wanted to do the same things in my own life as He did with countless other men and women. Going through the annulment process sooner rather than later was a part of that healing process for me.
Suffering and pain in our lives that is not transformed through Jesus is merely transmitted to other areas. It will follow you around until you let Jesus into those painful spaces to illuminate the darkness and bring His truth. What are those spaces in your heart, relationships, marriages, or past wounds?
Jesus gently whispers over a dead little girl, "Talitha koum!" (Mark 5:41) and maybe He included, "Sweet little one wake up, rise up! There is so much more I have for you."
And she stands up, whole and completely restored. Jesus wants that same wholeness and restoration for every one us, His daughters.
Healing in the name of Jesus is not for a few but for all. Invite Him into those spaces in your heart.
Just as He wanted much more for the women in the Gospel today, Jesus wants us to experience more healing in our own lives.
Healing is for each of you. And Jesus wants more of it for your life.
Healing is for each of you. And Jesus wants more of it for your life.Click to tweet
