Blessed Brunch Stories: Sylvania, OH Celeste, did you host or attend this Blessed Brunch? I attended. Where was the Brunch held? Someone's home. Tell us a bit about what happened at the Brunch. We started the gathering with an opening prayer, and then we all answered some questions about ourselves as we ate scrumptious brunch food. It was really wonderful to talk about Catholicism openly and share what we love about our Faith. Even though most of us had never met, all the women connected really well and we were able to talk like life-long friends. What was your feeling going into the Brunch, and what was it coming out of the Brunch? I was excited to go to the brunch, and I left with peace and joy over finding more like-minded sisters in Christ! What's next for you personally and/or for the group? We all exchanged emails and we are thinking about starting a women's spiritual book study group! What advice do you have for someone who is interested in attending and/or hosting a Blessed Brunch but may be hesitant or fearful? Never let your fear get in the way. When you let God become bigger than your fears, you open your life up to Him to work in beautiful ways! Where did you see God move? None of us knew what to expect going into the brunch, and we didn't know who would attend. But we all chose to go to the brunch despite this. Each women listened to the little nudge the Holy Spirit gave them to attend. This brunch gave us all a chance to meet other like-minded women who are in love with Our Lord and to create new friendships. Now It's Your Turn! We prayed together and shared food and fellowship! What was your feeling going into the Brunch, and what was it coming out of the Brunch? Going in, I was a bit curious, almost apprehensive, of who would be there. I wondered if I would know anyone or not. Leaving, I felt like I had made new friends and strengthened the relationships I already had, most of which had actually started at the last Blessed Brunch I attended! What's next for you personally and/or for the group? I see this community moving and grooving! We all jived very well and some of us have started talking more. Many of us have plans to meet up again! What advice do you have for someone who is interested in attending and/or hosting a Blessed Brunch but may be hesitant or fearful? Do it! I made one of my very best friends because of a Blessed Brunch this time last year. I almost didn't go because I didn't think it had much to offer me. But I'm so glad I decided to attend. Where did you see God move? I saw Him move through all the beauty of femininity that was in that room! It was so obvious that each woman was called and chosen and that each of us were answering that call. It was amazing! Now It's Your Turn! Blessed Brunch Stories: South Bend, IN Estelle, did you host or attend this Blessed Brunch? I attended. Where was the Brunch held? A local parish. Tell us a bit about what happened at the Brunch. We had a potluck brunch, a short address from a speaker, and small group discussion. What was your feeling going into the Brunch, and what was it coming out of the Brunch? Before, I was uncertain of what exactly to expect. After, I was overjoyed to have found a community like this. I was filled with peace and hopeful to develop new friendships. What's next for you personally and/or for the group? I am planning to meet two other ladies for coffee this week, and I'm excited to return to the brunch! What advice do you have for someone who is interested in attending and/or hosting a Blessed Brunch but may be hesitant or fearful? Do it! Graces abound in community! These women are so lovely and come from all different places in life. If you feel even a little bit called, just do it. Where did you see God move? Our speaker spoke to exactly what was on my heart. I made human connections at a time that I really needed them. The reflections from the Brunch keep coming up in my interactions outside of the Brunch. Praise be Jesus Christ, and thank you, BIS!
