Weekly Wallpaper // 15

In this week's gospel, Jesus says to the sea, "Quiet! Be Still!" (Mark 4:39) It struck me. I felt him saying that to me right in that moment. In my prayer, in my life, in my brain, I'm always running around and chattering away. But Jesus exclaims (those exclamation marks also stood out to me), Quiet! Be Still!

Let this weekly wallpaper be a reminder to take some time to be quiet and be still so that Jesus can infuse us with his calming peace.

I watercolored the wavelike image with inspiration from a Japanese wave design and hand lettered the verse. You can find more about work over at my site Be A Heart.
