Today’s feast day honors our Blessed Mother, the model for all Christians. Mary’s faith and prayer serve as an example to show us how to draw close to her Son.
This month, spend time each day in prayer. Pray however you feel called to -- the most important thing is that you make the time for prayer in your day, every day. Then come back and support your Blessed Is She sisters in their prayer.
Today, turn to Mary and ask her to guide your heart to Jesus over the next month.
Here are a few ideas to pray with Mary:
- Spend time in reflection (“But Mary kept all these things, pondering them in her heart.” Luke 2:19)
- Pray the Rosary
- Meditate on the Magnificat
- Begin memorizing a Marian prayer, like the Memorare or the Angelus
- Pray for new mothers
