When I say I’m in love, it will be holy.
When I say I’m in love, it will be a sacred phrase.
When I say I’m in love, I mean I am in Love.
And when I say I’m in Love, it’ll be beautiful.
It will be he and I sitting in the Father’s Heart, infinitely blessed by a God so powerful yet so gentle.
I’ve been thinking a lot about being in Love,
to know that this is right where I’m meant to be, to know that we are right where we’re meant to be,
that our beautiful Lord and Savior cradles us in His hands, in His heart, in Himself.
That kind of place, to be there, to be in Love must be beyond glorious, immeasurably so.
So when I say I’m in Love, it won’t come easily.
It will be the fruit of countless choices to give of myself, to will the good of another so deeply that I no longer rest in the same place.
It will be the fruit of the gentle Spirit of God creating space for us to dwell with Him.
And when I say I’m in Love, it’ll be beautiful.
It might not be today, or tomorrow, next week, or even next year
When I say I’m in Love, it could be just He and I
Or it could be he and I.
I love Him and I want to be in Love with Him.
I’m growing and I’m getting there.
He’s so in Love with me,
waiting for me to trust, to give, to fall
into His Hands, His Arms, His Heart.
When I say He’s in Love, I mean He is Love
and He wants me to drown in the ocean that is Him, to stop trying to tread and allow myself to sink to the bottom, allow myself to recognize that I can breathe underwater.
When I say He is Love, it’s a little overwhelming
to know that the ocean is waiting to overtake you if only you would step out on the water, to realize that drowning is the only way to be truly alive.
When I say I love Him, I mean I know that the ocean is true and good and beautiful
but I also know that I’m still trying to tread.
But back to being in Love.
When I say I’m in Love, I mean that Love will be in me
and I in Him and maybe he and I together and maybe we’ll both be breathing underwater.
When I say I’m in Love, it will be holy.
And when I say I’m in Love, it will be beautiful.
