The second week of February was National Marriage Week, a week in which the bishops of our Church called on us to promote, strengthen, and defend the gift of marriage as a lifelong union of one man and one woman. Every one of us -- married or not -- benefits when the truth of marriage is upheld and marriages are able to grow in love for family is the "basic cell of society."
