I opened my workbook for The Well Mentorship and read, “Have you ever felt like something just wasn’t working but weren’t sure where to start?”
Umm . . . Yes! Who wrote that, and did she write it just for me?
At the time I joined The Well Encounter, something truly was not working in my life, but falling back into old patterns—even good ones, like how I used to pray—just were not helpful anymore. And I did not know what to do or where to even begin.
The place I was in was not bad, per se, but I did feel stuck. I wanted to propel in my spiritual life and relationship with the Lord, but I did not know how to level up, so to speak.
The Well Mentorship
As I completed the “Personal Spiritual Inventory,” which is a tool The Well Mentorship uses to help participants understand themselves more thoroughly, I was able to view my spiritual life with a wider lens. I saw more clearly the shifts in my life through different seasons that caused the dryness I was experiencing in prayer.
With this information, I began an eight-week journey that included instruction, small group spiritual direction, journaling, and of course, prayer. Through The Well Mentorship, the Lord took the small opening of my heart that I offered Him and expanded it. He invited me into the healing work that He desired for me. He showed me the many ways He saw me as beloved. And I grew in understanding of what it truly meant to abide in Him and He in me (see John 15:1-17).
As much as The Well is a deeply personal experience with the Lord, it is also something to experience in community with other women. Thus, it truly embodies the mission of Blessed Is She: prayer + community.
Welcome to The Well Overflow
A brand new offering called The Well Overflow begins Easter Monday. It is all about our mission as baptized Christians to share the Good News with one another, not on our own but in companionship with others. Just as Jesus sent the disciples out two by two, He sends us out too. And together, we will grow in intimacy with the Lord and strengthen our identity in Him and the mission He calls us to embrace.
Who God is and Who We are in Him
Similar in structure to the original Encounter mentorship program, The Well Overflow rotates each week between lessons in Who God is and who we are in Him. During the seven weeks in The Well Overflow, we will get to know Jesus as Good Shepherd, Bread of Life, and Savior. In turn, we will come to better understand ourselves as belonging to Him, as missionaries in our corners of the world, and as spiritual mothers to those in our lives.
Throughout The Well Overflow, we will be encouraged and equipped with the knowledge, experience, and tools we need to confidently and joyfully grow in relationship with Jesus and share His love with others.
Spend Easter at the Well
For the seven weeks of the Easter season, Beth Davis, Blessed Is She’s Director of Formation, will be our virtual facilitator and mentor. Beth will give us practical tips for living on mission as we walk together with other women in the BIS member community.
Throughout the seven weeks, we will receive:
- Seven weekly videos from Beth Davis pertaining to themes of intimacy, identity, and mission
- A downloadable workbook containing unique weekly prayer practices to grow in faith and take risks with the Lord
- Access to a private channel in the member community, so we can journey with other sisters in Christ
- Virtual group check-ins with Beth Davis to intentionally walk with us through these seven weeks of the Easter season
- Two months access to the FULL BIS member community, where we can tune in to live Rosaries every weekday, live conversations with Beth + Steph + Jenna on The Weekly Visit, and ongoing support to continue the Christian journey
-
A helpful leader guide for our own small (or large!) group setting
Jesus Meets Us at the Well
In John 4, when Jesus approaches the Samaritan woman at the well, He promises that “whoever drinks the water I shall give will never thirst; the water I shall give will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life” (John 4:14). Through The Well Overflow, Jesus wants to offer us this living water too.
So, if you long for intimacy in prayer but don’t know how . . . if you desire to live a virtuous life but need a mentor . . . if you’ve been searching for a community of women but haven’t found sisterhood, join us at The Well this Easter, so you may never thirst again.
