“Hey friend! Where are you?”
Isn’t that a common question when we receive a call from someone? We are in constant desire to want to know where our people are. Maybe it’s out of curiosity; perhaps it’s because we are trying to meet them or it could be because we are attempting to gauge their emotional state. It comes down to one thing: we are inclined to want to know “where this person is in relation to me?”
And thinking of this question from the First Reading today, when God asks us, “Where are you, my sweet daughter?” more than wanting to know for His own sake, He is trying ardently to help you see where you are in relation to Him.
Don’t you see? Our Father thirsts for you. Past the shame you carry, past the sin you keep committing, past the burdens that are making you feel small, Our Father asks you so attentively, so lovingly, “My sweet daughter, where are you?”
And what will you say to Our Good Father, sister?
Will you accept His invitation to a heart to heart? Praying with me today:
Lord, we ask for the grace of more authenticity and honesty in our relationship with You. There are so many things in this world that call to us and pull us in all different directions and yet, Lord, in every waking moment Your call stands and presses on to the depths of our soul. You want us for Yourself. Blessed Father, may we keep learning how to make an ever-flowing gift of self to You. We love You.Lord, we ask for the grace of more authenticity and honesty in our relationship with You. // Kiki Rocha Click To Tweet
