Blessed is the man who fears the Lord. (Psalm 112:1b)
Not that scary kind of fear. Not that fear that makes you cower in the corner.
You are not frightened or anxious or confused.
You are standing at the edge of a vast precipice. Your toes just graze the edge of that towering cliff. Your veins are filled with the humming that accompanies your quickening heart beat. You hear your heart’s thump thump THUMP in your ears. You feel that weightlessness in your stomach as if you were about to free-fall into open space. Your senses are so heightened that you notice everything in slow motion. You feel the wind brush against your cheek and tousle your hair. Then everything stops. Your skin prickles with the unknown of what lies ahead of you.
But, you finally see.
You know, with every single cell in your entire body, that what you are seeing in front of you is not empty space. It’s HIM.
It is not empty, but open. And it is not a fall; it is a leap.
Straight into His open arms.
Are you ready to leap, sister?[Tweet “It is not a fall; it is a leap. Straight into His open arms. // @Substance_Soul”]
